Key takeaways
- Tinder’s Help Center doesn’t document why a Like you sent would disappear from a list, and it doesn’t say that sent Likes expire.
- What Tinder does document: deleted, banned or suspended accounts, profiles hidden because no face photo is detected, and blocks all remove or hide a profile.
- Tinder’s FAQ says Platinum includes visibility into the Likes you have sent.
- If your own profile has no clear face photo, Tinder says it can be hidden and lose Likes, Super Likes and Boost, so check that first.
Why did my sent likes disappear on Tinder?
Tinder’s Help Center doesn’t say. It doesn’t document why a Like you sent would disappear from a list, and it doesn’t say that sent Likes expire.
What Tinder does document are the ways a profile can be removed from Tinder, hidden from other people, or cut off from you. If someone you liked is no longer there, one of these may apply. Tinder won’t tell you which, so treat the cause as unknown.
Looking for a Match or conversation that vanished instead? That’s a different question with its own Tinder guidance: Tinder Matches disappeared? Why they’re gone & what to do.
They deleted their account
- A deleted profile is no longer visible, and Matches and messages can’t be restored
- Nothing to fix on your side; they may reappear in Discovery if they return
Their account was banned or suspended
- A ban removes the profile from Tinder; a suspension makes the account inaccessible until it ends
- Nothing to fix on your side
Their profile is hidden
- Without a detectable face photo, a profile is hidden from others in many regions
- Nothing to fix on your side
One of you blocked the other
- Blocking is permanent and neither of you sees the other
- If you blocked them, that is why
Your own profile is hidden
- Without a detectable face photo, your profile is hidden and loses Likes, Super Likes and Boost
- Check that your photos clearly show your face
Where can you see the Likes you sent?
Tinder’s current FAQ (opens in a new tab) says Platinum includes visibility into the Likes you have sent. Tinder’s subscriptions page (opens in a new tab) lists Plus (unlimited Likes, Rewinds, Passport, no ads, Incognito), Gold (adds weekly Super Likes, one Boost a month and See who Likes You) and Platinum (adds Prioritized Likes); it doesn’t list sent Likes under Plus or Gold.
The Likes page (opens in a new tab), which shows people who already liked you, is a different feature. Tinder says it’s available to Gold and Platinum subscribers, with a stand-alone purchase being tested on iOS in some markets.
If you can’t find your sent Likes at all, check which subscription and features are available in your account and market before assuming anything was removed.
What Tinder documents that removes or hides a profile
The person deleted their account
Tinder says a deleted profile is no longer visible, and Matches and messages can’t be restored even if the person recreates the account within 90 days (Restore your profile (opens in a new tab)). If someone deletes their account and later returns, Tinder says you may see them appear again in Discovery (Problems with Matches (opens in a new tab)).
The account was banned or suspended
Tinder’s Appeal Center glossary (opens in a new tab) says a ban removes the profile from the platform, and a suspension makes the account inaccessible until it ends. A banned user (opens in a new tab) can’t use Tinder or create new accounts, and can appeal in the Appeal Center.
The profile was hidden for having no detectable face photo
Tinder says that in many regions, if it can’t detect a valid face photo, the profile is hidden from others and loses Likes, Super Likes and Boost (My profile is hidden (opens in a new tab)). That can apply to the person you liked, or to you.
One of you blocked the other
Tinder says blocking a profile (opens in a new tab) is permanent and neither person sees the other. Tinder notes the feature is still being tested.
If you had matched: they unmatched
If the Like became a Match, unmatching (opens in a new tab) removes each person from the other’s Match list permanently. Tinder says the other person isn’t notified, though they may notice. For more on that, see why Tinder Matches disappear.
Check your own account first
Two things Tinder documents are on your side, and you can check them now:
- Is your profile hidden? If Tinder can’t detect a valid face photo, it says your profile is hidden from others and loses Likes, Super Likes and Boost in many regions. Make sure your photos clearly show your face.
- Did you turn off Discovery? Tinder says hiding your profile (opens in a new tab) stops it recommending you to new people, while people you already Liked may still see you and match with you.
If you see a ban or suspension notice, that’s a Tinder account matter. Tinder’s banned account page (opens in a new tab) explains the Appeal Center.
And if you’re paying for Priority Likes: Tinder says they are seen sooner, but each person’s Discovery preferences still apply and they aren’t guaranteed (Priority Likes (opens in a new tab)).
When it’s your profile, not the app
A Like that disappears is a question about one profile. Liking lots of people and rarely matching is a different problem, and that one is usually about how your profile comes across.
Start with your first photo: recent, solo, your face easy to see at phone size. Then check that each other photo adds something new, and that your bio gives people something specific to reply to. Our guide why you may be getting no matches on Tinder walks through it, and a Tinder profile review looks at the whole profile.
Not sure which photo should lead?
MAX, your AI dating expert, compares your photos as a set and shows your #1 photo, why it works and what to improve first. It can’t see your Tinder account or diagnose missing Likes, and it can’t guarantee Matches.

Do Tinder Likes expire?
Tinder’s Help Center doesn’t say that sent Likes expire, and it doesn’t explain why a sent Like would disappear from a list. What it does document is the ways a profile can be removed or hidden, covered in this guide.
Can I see the Likes I sent on Tinder?
Tinder’s FAQ says Platinum includes visibility into the Likes you have sent. Tinder’s subscriptions page doesn’t list it for Plus or Gold, so check which subscription and features are available in your account and market.
Why did someone I liked disappear on Tinder?
Tinder doesn’t say for sent Likes. The things it does document that remove or hide a profile are: the person deleted their account, the account was banned or suspended, the profile was hidden because Tinder couldn’t detect a face photo, or one of you blocked the other. Tinder doesn’t tell you which one applies.
If someone deletes Tinder and comes back, does my Like come back?
Tinder doesn’t say. It says a deleted profile is no longer visible and that Matches and messages can’t be restored even if the account is recreated within 90 days, though a returning user may reappear in Discovery.
Could my own profile be the reason?
It can be. Tinder says that in many regions, if it can’t detect a valid face photo, your profile is hidden from others and loses Likes, Super Likes and Boost. Make sure your photos clearly show your face.
Does a Priority Like guarantee the person sees me?
No. Tinder says Priority Likes, a Platinum feature, are seen sooner, but each person’s Discovery preferences still apply and it isn’t guaranteed.

Bottom line
- Tinder doesn’t document why a sent Like would disappear, and doesn’t say Likes expire.
- It does document deleted, banned, suspended and hidden profiles, and blocks. Tinder won’t tell you which applied.
- Check your own side: a clear face photo, and whether Discovery is on.
- If you’re liking plenty of people but rarely matching, look at your profile.
Don’t guess at what happened to one profile. Fix what you can see.
