The short answer
- You upload 3–10 photos. An AI model following fixed rules reviews each photo, picks your strongest first photo with a reason, and checks how the photos work together.
- The Free Photo Check gives you that pick and up to 3 improvements. The Profile Makeover adds a photo order and a KEEP, MOVE, REPLACE or REMOVE decision for every photo.
- MAX judges the photo, never your looks. It is an AI, it can make mistakes, it can't see your dating apps and it never guarantees matches or dates.
What you give MAX
Nothing is pulled from your dating apps. For the Free Photo Check you upload 3–10 photos in the order you choose. At least 3 lets MAX compare your photos against each other. For the Profile Makeover you also pick the app it is for (Tinder, Hinge, Bumble or OkCupid) and can answer an optional questionnaire about yourself.

What MAX looks at in each photo
Every photo is checked for the same things:
Face visibility
Whether your face is easy to see, or hidden by distance, sunglasses, a cap or a mask.
Lighting
Whether the light shows you clearly or leaves your face shadowed, washed out or unclear.
Expression and eye contact
Whether your expression and body language come across as natural and approachable.
Framing
Distance, angle and crop: can people actually see you?
Background
Whether the setting adds context or pulls attention away from you.
Image clarity
Whether the photo is sharp enough to read at a glance.
Social context
Who else is in the shot, and whether it is clear whose profile it is.
Personality and authenticity
What the scene says about you, and whether it looks like real life.
How MAX picks your first photo
MAX compares the full set and recommends the photo that works best as Photo #1. The explanation points to what is actually in the picture, such as framing, expression, lighting and how easily it introduces you. It's a recommendation, not a promise about dating outcomes.
How MAX judges the set as a whole
A photo can work on its own and still repeat something the rest of the set already shows. MAX checks whether your photos repeat one signal or add something new, and gives you up to 3 concrete opportunities to improve the set.
What the Profile Makeover adds
The Profile Makeover puts your photos in a recommended order and gives every photo one decision with a reason you can act on:
KEEP
The photo already works where it is.
MOVE
The photo belongs in a different slot in the order.
REPLACE
The idea is useful, but a better take of it would do more.
REMOVE
The photo adds nothing the rest of the set doesn't already show.
It also adds a bio built only from what you shared, a shot list of photos to take next and setup for the app you chose.
We judge the photo, never the person
You can retake a photo, but you can't change your body, so only the photo earns or loses points: light, sharpness, distance, angle, framing, background, clothing, anything hiding your face, expression and what the scene shows. Your looks, body, age, skin, hair, scars, disability or religious dress never count against a photo, and MAX never calls anyone attractive or unattractive.
Every weakness is written as a fix you can act on ("Face a window for softer light"), not a verdict. The Photo Check never changes your face.
What MAX can't do
- MAX is an AI, not a human coach or a dating expert with credentials. No person reviews your photos.
- It can't see or access your dating apps, matches, messages or settings. It only knows what you upload, type or paste.
- It doesn't know any app's ranking algorithm, and it can't tell you why a particular person didn't match or reply.
- It never guarantees matches, replies or dates. A clearer profile is the part you control; results also depend on the app, your settings, your activity and other people.
- It can be wrong. Check its suggestions before using them, and report a result that is wrong or harmful with the Report option next to it.
Your photos and privacy
Your photos are kept in private storage and are not published. We don't use your photos to train AI models, and our staff don't look at them. How photos are stored, who processes them and how to delete them is set out in the Privacy Policy. More about the team and the product is on the About page.

Is a person looking at my photos?
No. The review is done by an AI. Our staff don't look at your photos; the Privacy Policy explains how photos are stored and who can access them.
Can MAX see my Tinder, Hinge or Bumble profile?
No. MAX can't see or access any dating app. It only works from the photos you upload and what you type or paste.
Will following MAX's advice get me more matches?
No one can promise that, and MAX doesn't. It helps you choose and order your photos more deliberately; results also depend on the app, your settings, your activity and other people.
