The short answer
A Hinge profile review is feedback on your photos, their order and your prompt answers, with specific changes to make. ProfileMax starts with a free Photo Check of 3–10 photos. MAX recommends a lead photo and explains why. The optional $14.99 one-time Profile Makeover adds photo order, Hinge setup with the prompts to answer, and a personalized shot list. ProfileMax is not affiliated with Hinge, can’t access your account and doesn’t guarantee matches.
No card. No Hinge login. Your #1 pick and explanation are available without an account.
What does a Hinge profile review check?
A useful review checks the opening photo, the rest of the photo set and the prompt answers that sit between them. Hinge asks for 4–6 photos (depending on local rules) and 3 prompt answers, so every part of the profile is visible to the people who see it.
1. Your opening photo
The first question is practical: can someone see who you are? A clear face, readable lighting and a natural expression make an image easier to understand. Hinge’s own help article on getting matches says candid shots, smiles and photos that show your interests tend to get more Likes, while selfies (especially mirror selfies), filters and sunglasses tend to get fewer.
ProfileMax’s free check recommends a lead photo from your uploads and explains the choice. You can use the recommendation or keep another photo if it feels more like you.
2. The variety and order of your photos
Your other photos can add information instead of repeating the introduction. An activity, a different setting or an everyday moment can help the set feel more complete. The full Makeover gives you a recommended sequence and a decision for every image: keep, move, replace or remove.
A shot list addresses what is missing. It might suggest a clearer full-body image or a photo of you doing a real hobby. It does not generate a fictional lifestyle for you.
3. How your prompts work with your photos
On Hinge, people Like a specific photo or prompt and can add a comment, and Hinge says a comment makes a response more likely. That means each photo and each prompt answer is a possible conversation starter, not just decoration. Hinge shows three prompt answers at a time; photo prompts, a Video Prompt and a Prompt Poll are optional extras.
A review asks whether your prompts add something your photos don’t already say and whether at least one is easy to comment on. In the paid Profile Makeover, when you choose Hinge, MAX suggests which prompts to answer based on your photos and the details you give it. For prompt ideas and examples, see our Hinge prompt answers guide.
What does Hinge profile feedback look like?
Specific feedback identifies the photo, the reason and the next edit. “Improve your pictures” is vague. “Move Photo 3 to the opening slot because your face is clearer there” gives you a decision to consider.

Move the clear portrait to the first slot.
The face is easy to see, with a natural expression and an uncluttered background. In this example, it is the opening pick.

Use the walk to show everyday life.
This adds an activity and a different setting, and it gives someone a specific photo to like or comment on.

Let the cafe photo play a supporting role.
It adds context, but the sunglasses make the eyes harder to see. Consider showing a clearer face first.
Example prompt note · Full Makeover
“Answer ‘Together, we could…’ with the coastal trail you walk most weekends. It matches your walking photo and gives someone an easy thing to comment on.”
Written from fictional details to show the idea. Your prompts should use your actual life and interests — never invented achievements.
These examples demonstrate the type of reasoning and edits to expect. They are not measured evidence of more Likes. For your own opening-photo recommendation, start with a free Photo Check.

If your goal is just choosing an opening image, start with the free check. If you need the photos and prompts to work together, read about the full Profile Makeover. For worked examples, see our Hinge profile examples.
Can a profile review help if you get no likes on Hinge?
A review can help with profile presentation; it cannot explain every reason you are getting few likes or matches. An unclear first photo, repetitive images or prompts that are hard to answer are things you can revise. How Hinge shows your profile, your preferences and other people’s choices are different questions.
MAX cannot check whether Hinge is showing your profile or how your account is ranked. Start with our guide to no likes or matches on Hinge for the wider diagnosis, then use this review when you want feedback on your own photos and prompts.
How ProfileMax handles your photos
Your photos are stored privately and relevant images and text are sent to Google’s Gemini API for analysis. ProfileMax states that it does not use your photos, results or chats to train AI models. Google may process or retain submitted content under its own applicable terms, so ProfileMax does not promise zero retention by every provider.
If you use Photo Check without an account, the photos and result belong to a temporary guest session. Signing in or creating an account within 24 hours moves them to your account. Otherwise, they are deleted with the guest session by a daily cleanup after the 24-hour window. Read the Privacy Policy before uploading, and only use adult photos you have permission to submit.

Can I get a free Hinge photo review without signing up?
Yes. ProfileMax’s free Photo Check shows your #1 photo recommendation and explanation without an account. Create a free account for up to three improvements and to save your result. No card is needed; free-use limits apply.
Is this a human review or an AI review?
It is AI-generated feedback from MAX, not a human expert reviewing your profile. MAX only evaluates the material you share and may make mistakes. You decide which suggestions to apply.
Does ProfileMax review my Hinge prompts?
Choose Hinge for your Profile Makeover and MAX suggests which prompts to answer, based on your photos and the details you give it, alongside your photo order and Hinge setup. The free Photo Check covers photos only. With MAX Pro you can ask MAX to write or tighten each answer.
Do I need MAX Pro for a full Hinge profile review?
No. The full Profile Makeover is a $14.99 one-time purchase per Photo Check. It does not renew. It is also included with MAX Pro, which is a separate recurring subscription.
Can you review a Hinge profile screenshot?
The Photo Check starts with 3–10 individual photos. Do not assume that it imports your Hinge profile from a screenshot or a link. Details for your prompts are added through the Makeover.
Is ProfileMax affiliated with Hinge?
No. ProfileMax is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Hinge. It cannot access or change your Hinge account.
Will a Hinge profile review guarantee more likes or matches?
No. ProfileMax gives suggestions about presentation, not guaranteed likes, matches, replies or dates. It cannot predict another person’s interest or see how Hinge shows your profile.
